Abstract

Radiology is an important part of the medical field that plays a role in assisting disease diagnosis through images produced by X-rays. One factor that greatly influences radiographic image quality is the use of auxiliary equipment such as a grid, which functions to reduce scattered radiation. Given the importance of image quality in establishing an accurate diagnosis, this community service activity aimed to socialize a Research Results Pocket Book to radiographers regarding the use of grid ratios of 8:1 and 6:1 on a cranium phantom to obtain good image quality at the Radiology Installation of Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital, Padang. This community service activity was conducted through socialization and discussion methods on September 17, 2024. It is expected that radiographers will be better able to optimize the selection of grid ratios to achieve optimal image quality and support accurate diagnosis.
